I don't know what it was about this package....... |

that told me I had best get my camera ready. :) |
This machine arrived as you see it. As I took it from the postman I could feel the machine slide from one end of
the box to the other. This is not the first machine we have received poorly packaged. So this time we decided
to document it for the web site. The machine is wrapped in a black garbage bag and tied with nylon rope.
This is the machine. Luckly, we did not pay much for it at all. We have a very nice Red Singer 15K80 and
saw this green one on Ebay and thought it would be a nice companion. The picture was of very poor quality. Looking back we
should have asked for additional pictures of the machine and directed the seller to one of the many quality websites
that list proper ways to package a vintage sewing machine. Oh well, win some lose some.

Nothing like an appropriate sized box for packing |
|
With the plastic wrap and ropes off we noticed that the oversized lid was not secured to the bottom portion of the box.
Just a loose top that moved easily 6" in all directions.
This machine was purchased at auction. Why someone would want to try out their artistic talents on a harmless sewing
machine case I do not know. Luckly the Jones Federation that was inside was not lavished with the same decorations as
the case. Needless to say, this case is no longer with us.

Packing?............Do you see any Packing? |
|
Removing the lid we found the machine lying on it's side with only a sprinkling of styrofoam pieces. Nothing secured
the machine from moving all over the box. Also, the footpedal, cords, extra thread spools, manual, and attachment were
all over the machine, Nothing secured. The machine had pulled away from it's base. One slide cover is missing
and the moter bracket was bent.

THE JONES INSIDE WAS MUCH BETTER THAN THE CASE |
