One of our favorite machines is the Edward Ward, Arm and Platform sewing machine. These were manufactured in London during the 1870's/80's. This facinating machine can be quickly transformed from a  free-arm to a table type using its inbuilt moveable cast iron plinth. This was the beginning of the Free arm machines. This machine came with its original case. We would be interested in purchasing an original manual or copy of a manual for this machine. Another find is this early Wheeler and Wilson #4 (5?). The decals/paint is in wonderful condition. It came in a very ornate parlor cabinet, unfortunately, the prior owner decided to begin refinishing the cabinet several years back and never made it past the initial rough sanding. So we've had our work cut out for us.
So....Here is the finished cabinet with machine.  What do you think?  Beautiful machine.
